Smoy is market leader in Scandinavian core drillings. Main product is drilling services consisting of surface and underground core drillings, percussion drillings, installations of ground water monitoring wells and versatile technical in-hole surveys as well as of other services related to drilling.
Geophysics
Geophysical services form Drillcon Smoy’s other main service. Drillcon Smoy pioneered in applied geophysics already in the 1930s. Geophysical surveys are carried out on the ground surface and in drill holes and in some cases also in underground spaces.
Geology
Drillcon Smoy's geologists are specialised in engineering geological investigations. Our geologists also perform geological core logging. The logging results are recorded directly on a PC and the data processed and digitally printed out with advanced commercial applications.
Rock mechanics
Drillcon Smoy performs in-situ rock stress measurements by two-dimensional hydraulic fracturing and three-dimensional over coring method. The services of Drillcon Smoy include surveying, monitoring, advisory services and technical reporting.
75 years of geological contracting
Drillcon SMOY is a contracting company in the Drillcon Group offering drilling, geophysical, geological and rock mechanical services for natural resource, engineering and environmental investigations. The turnover of Smoy amounts to roughly 12 million euro (year 2011) and the company has a personnel of 150. Smoy has export references from 37 countries on six continents.
